My innocent thread was deleted?

A few of minutes ago, I posted a thread in the General Forum asking if I should change my username. A minute later, it was deleted, with no given reason. It wasn't locked, just deleted. Below, I give you the thread simply for the purpose of answering the question:

I'm not really sure if I like my username, it's not very catchy...but is changing my name worth the bother. It means I'll have to change the name in all my flashes, but that won't take that long....

Also, what do you think my new name (if I get it) should be? I was thinking abstraction cos it's easy to remember, and kinda represents me, as I like, and do, abstract art...Any name suggestions?

Wait, actually, this is the general forum, I better not ask for name suggestions..

So anyway, the main question I'm asking is: Is my name catchy enough to not bother?

Was my thread doing anything wrong? I'm not quite sure why it was deleted...Is there any chance it could have been a error in Newgrounds?

I'm sure that they get a lot of threads about people asking if they should change their names. It's your choice anyways so you should keep it to yourself. It is against the rules to complain about a locked or deleted thread though.

They get a lot of threads about name changes, they usually just delete them or lock them. It's pretty hard to change your name anyway. You have to ask Wade, but he probably won't do it since you signed up this year.

Actually, sign up date has less to do with it than contributions to the site. The OP has a few flash submissions which have decent scores so I can see why he wanted his name changed. It wouldn't hurt to contact Wade about it, but he shouldn't expect anything to happen right away.

If you want to cantact Wade try finding him on paltalk thats the easyest way to get him, or you could e-mail him at [e-mail]. Finally you could just pm him, theres no guaranty he will respond.

If you haven't already talked to Wade about it, the best way to go about it is on paltalk like buster there said. Download paltalk and make a username. Type in newgrounds into the search and turn adult features on to find the newgrounds chatroom.

Yes many people ask those questions... like how do I change my name, how do I eat a hamburger... wait. Okay, but still THERE IS NO WAY YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR NAME. If you could, Newgrounds would be smart enough to tell you before you started. Anyways it'd be confusing if everybody changed there name. We wouldn't know whos who.
