I've read through the audio FAQ a bit and can't seem to work it out. Are we allowed to submit music created with free audio loops we find from stock websites? These aren't loops that are ripped directly from a song. Loops that are offered for free with no copyright on them.

Since it says the audio has to be 100% your own work, I'm guessing no, but I just wanted to be sure.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that they're not allowed, cos then there would be a ton of 12-year-olds submitting Garage Band songs.....

Yeah. Some Garageband songs are actually pretty good, but it's just they're so much easier to make than completely original songs.

basically, if it's obvious that you've just played duplo with the loops, i.e. setting a few loops together, it is not considered "your own creation" and you'll be banned for it.

if you use a roaylty free loop or two in an actual song of YOUR creation, that's another story.

bottom line is that NG prefers original content, and using chunks of loops the DUPLO way is as bad as a drawing artist tracing a crappy stickman drawing...
