Broken keyboard...

my keyboard is broken, when i press any of the letters in the top row, the number above it appears too, and the spacebar doesn't work, so I'm copying and pasting spaces to write this, help?

For reference, this is what that would look like if I typed normally.

I think I spilled water on it, any advice on fixing it?

If it's spilled water, than you should just buy a new keyboard.

You might want to clean it off with a can of compressed air first, though.

Anyway, just buy a new keyboard. You can get one for about 30 bucks. I'm sure it costs a lot more to repair a keyboard, and a new keyboard could be an improvement over your old one.

i had a somewhat similar problem and restarting it did the trick

If it has a lot of ware 'n tear, you should just replace it.

You can buy a basic one for about 20$.

I'm guessing that you submerged it in water or something because it has to be close to that happening in order for keys to start jumping and putting other characters down. Sounds like all you have to do is clean off the plastic sheets in the keyboard. If you didn't feel like bothering, yeah... go get another keyboard. Otherwise, have fun cracking it open, trying to clean and dry all the sheets and putting them back without any more complications coming up.
