Gold is valuable because its shiny..its yellow and its rather rare ever since people have been using it since ancient times.
Eventually gold will run out and we'll make something else replace it...like lead.

i find it funny that you say lead may replace gold, even though its poisonous to humans.
1) Gold doesnt tarnish....so win win!
2) its pretty....

WILL RIP OWN HEAD OFF FOR SHINY THINGS.
WILL RIP OTHER HEADS OFF FOR SHINY THINGS.
It is valueable mostly because of it's 'special' qualities in the eyes of anchient civilizations, it was a decorative nice looking metal that doesn't rust, and was for some people they seen it was the colour of the sun, their god.

More importantly, you can't adequately fake it because it has the highest density of any material available. So when you've got it, it's easy to test for impurities, and you can't gold plate something without running the risk of being found out easily.
yes.

Because the people eat the lead amirite? It isn't poisoness just causes cancer, I've held lead pellets in my mouth for extended periods of time and I don't have cancer.
Though do I have funny shaped teeth popping up all over my jaw.
I AM THREAD KILLER!
1. Rare
2. Shiny
3. Many qualities in metal that is valued
I've thought the same thing for so long. Just like diamonds. If DeBeers released all the diamonds they actually have in their possession onto the market, the value of the diamond would plummet.

I'm pretty sure lead is denser than gold.

I am positive that it is not.
Gold density 19.3g/cm^3
Lead density 11.34g/cm^3
yes.
