The Newgrounds Intro Collab

[Insanimation]

Welcome to the NG Intro Collab. All you have to do to join is make an introductory scene advertising Newgrounds.

Rules

-Include your name in the bottom right corner.

- Nothing lengthy. Nobody wants to watch a 30 second intro before a Flash, do they? Keep it under 10 seconds long. Anything longer will not be included.

- You can make up to 3 pieces, no more.

- No sprites

- Nothing that will make this anything other than 'Suitable for Anyone'.

- No sticks. I mean, no stickfigures. I suppose you can have small wooden branches if you have to, although I can't see why you'd want to....

-Try to make it as NG-like as possible. I don't want a pink dinosaur walking along carrying a flag saying 'Newgrounds', as that has nothing to do with NG.

-No Actionscript

Specs

-No required BA. It's not hard to make an effective intro. However, if I think it's REALLY bad, I won't include it.

-You can begin work now, and I'll finish accepting entries in a month from now, so that's August 30th.

-I've Flash 8, so no Flash CS3 files, please.

FPS: 12 (Default) It's low but you don't need a high FPS for an intro.
Stage: 550x400 (Default)
BG Colour: Black, although make your own.

I'll determine the co-authors by whatever 9 pieces I deem best.

I'll code the menu and whatever, but if anybody wants to make a preloader, contact me. Also, if you think you can make good graphics for a menu, contact me about it.

When you PM me, send me a link to the .fla on the net. Do not ask me for my e-mail. I won't give it to you. Also, I'll only accept applications sent by Pm. You can post the .fla link on this thread, but PM me too. This thread is mainly for saying 'I'm in!' or asking questions, both of which you can do by PMing me too.

By the way, you may say that I don't have a solo submission above 3.5, but I asked Kirk-Cocaine and he said it was OK, as my highest flash is only a collaborative effort because I co-authored my VA.

The below image is not for promotional purposes, I will make one of those later (unless somebody else wants to)

Well, actually, I forgot to mention this before, but I'm gonna put them in a .fla so other people can use them for their flashes...does that make it have a point?

Also, an artist for the menu would actually go a long way, so if you're good at designing something that looks like a Newgrounds production, feel free to PM me!

Yeah, it's kind of a ridiculous idea. I mean, making intros for Newgrounds is kind of cool, but that's the nice part about animating, people can make their custom intros. It's the originality aspect of Newgrounds, just like in games where people make custom ArmorGames logos / intros. Also, it's a terrible time since the Newgrounds Collab is going on right now.

Newgrounds Collab is totally different. In that, they're making Flashes about the NG characters and stuff....

Also, I've seen lots of threads saying 'Where can I get the NG intro where it has the logo, and then it goes down to a bar, and says Everything by Everybody?' and the answer is always 'It's only for people that have really good flashes that are sponsored by NG, N00B XD PWND'....well, what if there were intros of that quality that anybody could easily use? Meh, that's my idea anyway....

I really don't get why this collab is so much worse than anything else..I only have 2 (with a possible third) people in this thing except me.....

And yeah, it's amazingly low, but it's default, so it cant be that bad...I only ever use 12fps, and my animations arent too choppy...

12 is far too low, so low that people wouldnt want to use the intro because it would look like it was on fast forward if you use it with a normal FPS

New FPS, cos the old one was a bit too low for peoples likings.

If you've already done a part, just double the frames for tweens and do lots of hard stuff for FBF...good luck!

We may have a major setback..ever since I changed the FPS to 24, the sound in the flash has gone really weird...I'm very confused, but I'll try it again when the computer gets restarted, and hopefully that will make a difference...

QUITE IMPORTANT NEW RULE

Sorry I keep on making new rules, but the circumstances call for it.

- Put your intro in a Movie Clip inside the fla. It's the only way the sound doesn't go out of sync...Call the MC 'yourname' intro'number', so my first intro would be 'fish1892 intro1', and my second 'fish1892 intro2' etc.
