I figure it's about time that I made my own art thread here on Newgrounds.

I'll try to post frequently, but I don't know how often I can get around to doing so. Most of the stuff that I'm going to put up now is sorta sketchy, roughly 15-20 minutes worth of work. Hopefully I'll be getting a Wacom Tablet for my B-day (This Friday!!) so I can start transforming my sketches into colored pieces via either Flash or Photoshop (most likely Photoshop).

To start this thread off, here is a quick sketch (10 minutes-ish?) of my dog when he was a puppy, younger dog. He is a Wheaten Terrier in case anyone was curious lol

I'd appreciate any sort of comments or criticism, just let me know how I'm doing =P

I'll work on some other junk tomorrow and throw it up tomorrow night..

I think you need more practice. Don't give up.

happy early birthday!
okay, so your dog looks ADORABLE. Is it one of those super fluffy dogs?
anyway, soo....about the drawing. it's not that good. If your gong to draw detailed lines with your pencil, make sure you take the same amount of time on them that you would any other part.
and, you need to work on shading. look up tutorials on drawing animals. there's a lot of stuff to learn about.
also, you gotta know where the light source is coming from. do you have a desk lamp? if you do ,try putting something intricate under it (not your dog) and draw it with the correct light source.
just keep practicing!
good luck.
