Where to host a .swf file? 2008-07-27 07:27:34 Reply

Hey Guys,
This Is my first post on the BBS and tonite was also my first night submitting a flash to newgrounds (woohoo what a night right?) anyway my flash was made for a band and i want to send it to them in a way that they can easily put up on there myspace if they want. I have my own website (jmldesign.biz) and the flash is hosted on it...but what im really looking for is something like youtube where you can upload a .swf and it automatically generates a embedd player you can put on any website that accepts HTML.

if nobody knows of one of these sites can somebody please direct me to a good .swf to AVI/WMV/MPEG converter...

Thanks,
Jon Light

SpamTheWeb allows you to upload files, and gives a HTML embed code, as far as I can remember...

spamtheweb.com? I've never used it but I think it can fulfill your needs.

Because swf files can be timeline-independent, you need to make your own simple control panel to achieve that effect (but flash might have a component with a premade one, I've never looked). In order to get a panel like that without the extra work, you need to convert it into a video file. This way the websites know it's linear and either add a flash control panel or let your browser add it's own.
