Well, to change the bit rate of a song so that it isn't as big of a file, you go to "Edit > Preferences > File Formats", then change the bit rate using the drop-down thing at the bottom of the preferences window.

But if you're wanting to make a song sound 8-bit, I don't think it's possible. The only way I would know of to do that without re-creating the song would be to use some kind of "bit crusher" effect in a music making program.

Obviously, the link was to a YTMND page, it is a joke. 8bit music is something that takes a lot of time and effort to make, and you cannot simply convert ANYTHING to 8bit.
