Eat a spoon full of peanut butter, that usually works for me.

I've had cases of hiccups that bad....once I punched myself in the face over and over.
I figured my brain would eventually kick in and survival instincts would understand hiccuping wasn't allowed. I almost gave myself a black eye.
I have the hiccups now, it's driving me crazy.
Cures don't work usually...I just have to wait it out. Damn it's like a sunburn.

This is a little stupid.
Hiccups are hiccups, who cares about them.
It's not like it's a deadly disease or something.

You haven't had them for an hour and a half...my lungs and neck hurt from spasming. I keep waking up my wife with my hiccups.
Once I tried holding my neck-veins down til I passed out but I gave up early. I figured passed out I wouldn't hiccup...but sense got the better of me before I caused too much brain damage.

I have a very strange cure which always works for me. I get a drink of water, hold my breath for ten seconds, then go upsidedown and swallow the water.

I always did it by putting a washcloth over a glass of water and drink it without stopping until it's gone. Or alternately, slit your throat so the hiccups can escape.

Yes, but how can you tell when the water's upside down?
it all looks the same from outside the glass.
