Psp Or Wii?

Hello there, for the past few years I've owned a PlayStation 2 and a GameBoy Advance SP but recently I've been looking to buy a console for about £150-200 and I've decided either a PSP or Wii but I'm having trouble deciding which one.

The Wii gameplay looks fantastic but I'm worried I'll get bored of it quite quickly and the PSP has great graphics for a portable console and some nifty tools (web browser and media player) but the choice of games seems to consist of poor re-releases.

So, I ask you, Sony PSP or Nintendo Wii?

it depends what type of gamer you are and what type of game you like, more of a shooter/RPG psp, wii is for parties some hardcore games outthere, zelda, ssbb. the psp has a lot of features, internet music photo movies on the go so if you travel a lot on holiday or car or train journys the psp, if you enjoy split screen gaming wii, online mulitiplayer is psp. if you get the wii prepared to get a load of 'junk' with it, wii board, zapper, wheel, all optional tho'

If you want to get a portable gaming device, the DS really is better. I have a PSP and a DS and I must say that I only use my psp to go online when I can't get on my computer. And never touch it otherwise.

I don't like the Wii either, but it seems like the better choice.

I don't know about psp, but I do know that the wii gameplay is the best (in my opinion).

The Wii. Both things have a lot of features and goodies. You just get the ones on the Wii once you get online. But the PsP has no good games. Even the Ratchet game, claimed to be one of the few games, has been made for the PS2 so Sony get get more money off it.

Get the Wii. I really don't see any reason to get a PSP at all.

They try to make you pay 10 bucks to surf internet on your wii
Wii controls are gimmicky(meaning you may move your hand one way, and it wont respond or does the opposite, but they also i believe are coming out with a fix for that)
Lot of crappy shovelware games

My opinion is that the Wii is better, (not if you have small room) than PSP. All PSP games can be played on PS2.

I actually like the PSP's games, its ability to steal internet, and that it can do a whole bunch of shit.

Like this game Patapon, is addictive AS HELL. I stayed up for 4 hours playing that shit.

And people tell me the Wii gets old really fast.

I find this funny because of all the fanboys of PS3 and Xbox360.

Usually they would hate on the Wii because of its "childish" games and "inferior" graphics.

Now that it's put up against a PSP, everyone sides with the Wii...

The Wii would be a lot better if you can get your family to play, or if you have a lot of friends who can come over. It's just a great party console.

If not, and you're finding less time to play, then go get the PSP. It has an amazing library, and right now, even better than the Wii, in my opinion. It's sad that loads of people think it's cool and in to troll Sony these days.

I bought the PSP because I couldn't play with my consoles often these days, so I was thinking I could play while waiting for classes. I bought it before the DS because of the very active homebrew community, and that it can play PS1 games, since I was also in the mood to replay some old games. That's not even including PSP games themselves. I still spend more time with my PSP since I can do more and play more games on it.

The wii is better. Wii has better games like galaxy, brawl, metroid 3, and MK wii. But you could also get a DS over a psp...

I'd say PSP;

I owned a Wii and the novelty of it wore off very quickly; I just wanted to sit down and play without having to wave my arms about in the air (please, spare typing out a list of games where you don't have to wave your arms about, i sold my Wii in February), but it just got boring fast, I ended up playing virtual console games more than my wii games for this reason.
