One of the things that pisses me off most about the release of new gen consoles more than having to buy one is the fact that the only new games are on them. Sure you get over that but when your comfortable with your xbox or ps2 and a new system comes out that means that not only do they stop making games for what you already have they also stop stocking up on titles you were used to seeing and that game that you put off buying but want to get will have to be bought at a used game store in shit condition.
Nintendo has screwed me out of my money a couple times but not like sony or sega tried to do. The sega cd wasn't only a shitty system but a gimmick to also sell more sega genisies because you need one in order to play it but who cares that was over 10 years ago. One of the games that pissed me off after i bought it was final fantasy crystal chronicles. Because you needed to attach the gameboy advance not only for the multilayer but to also figure out what you needed to do in order to gain points because they couldn't just tell you in the game. The control pad was also a lousy substitute for the control stick. You even needed to buy the cable in the first place which was also a pain in the ass because they were overpriced for a shitty connector that obviously was cheap enough to make. I eventually sold all of that shit to get some of my money back including the gamecube.
Microsoft is pretty notorious with their way of fucking you out of more money when you needed to buy the software for the 360 because they sold it separate from the system. That's like having to buy the doors for your car after picking it up from the dealership but the real bitch is that you have no choice in the matter you actually need to buy the software and Microsoft knows this because no new games will ever be made again for the xbox.
