Me and my friend got Death Note zippos in france at 14 AND with lighter fluid from a seperate store for like 11 euro. We don't even smoke!

Are they real Zippos? Made by the Zippo company?

I like Zippo lighters. They are reliable and last forever, so you aren't throwing away plastic lighters all the time. It's no more expensive to run a zippo than it is to keep buying disposable butane lighters in the long run...

Why don't you just get the standard Zippo? Stainless or matte finish. Simple and elegant. Note expensive, either.

Now that I actually looked at the website, the Zippo BLU models look really awesome and functional. It might be the best lighter you could get if you were a regular smoker, but I personally do not smoke... I don't know about you. Maybe you intend to use if for cigarettes or cigars, maybe just for utility, or maybe to practice your lighter freestyle.

I personally have had my eye on this little beauty right here for some time. It's the greatest zippo ever made. I've been meaning to buy it for so long but keep forgetting to. Maybe I've been subconsciously hoping I would receive it as a gift on a special occasion.

I already have this little number pictured below. I got it at some dinky flea market shop in NYC, but I can't remember the name or location except that it was near 5th Street. It was a bargain at just 40 bucks.

Hell yeah man totally get a zippo lighter. I am still looking around but I like this lighter so far. It just looks like a joker card and I like it quite a bit. I would get it if I could. :D

As for me, I had 3 Zippos at one point, although one got stolen. >:(

The first one I got was a gold-plated limited edition with an engraving of a French General (I forget his name -- my friend has all the info). I got that for my 18th birthday.

The second one I got was a cheaper one, which was simply a black military one with a black scratch-proof outer casing. I got it so that I wouldn't have to take my rare limited edition one with me on nights out.

The third one was the one that got stolen -- just a plain shiny chrome one. I really liked that lighter, and I was pissed off that it got stolen, but I guess I can always get another one, unlike the limited edition one.

Actually when I got it the smoking age was 16 in the UK (which is where I live). But yeah, it's a great lighter, and there's apparently only 50 of them in the world, so I'm pretty lucky to have one of them.

I do smoke, but I'm cutting down, and I actually haven't smoked in over 2 weeks (go me)! Zippos are great things to have even if you don't smoke, though.

Unfortunately, there are no markings on it whatsoever. I can't even tell if it is made by Zippo. All the parts are exactly the same, only scaled larger. Even the flint and wick are larger, which makes me afraid to over-use it, should I not be able to locate replacements when they wear out.

The only thing I can tell you about it is that it came in a gift-package with a tiny pipe, like a "World's largest lighter/smallest pipe" gimmick. I threw away the package and the pipe, I only wanted the lighter. I wish I hadn't, so I could tell you more as to who manufactured it.
