A mixture. I use Reason 4.0 for beats... Cubase 4 for audio editing, and wavelab 5 for mastering. I also have a UAD-1 card I use for plugs, as well as a few other goodies. I also have a rack though...although it doesn't help my skill much LOL

im kinda cheep so i use:

Hydrogen for beats

VirtualDJ for FX/Skratching

Audacity and Cakwalk Music creator 4 for editing

Findsounds.com for some samples

i use reason3.0 and 4.0 well some of my songs were made with just reason 3.0

and i use wavepad for making chips that i can sample... well even though i havent really utilized it yet

Reason 4, if you get the full version, its pretty much got everything you need to make a good song. Provided YOU are good at making a good song ;-D

But I mean really its got synthesizers, samplers, drum machines, hundreds of pre-made sounds,
Its the way to go.

Except you can't use vst's, that blows.

I used to use StreetsandTips, but then that program got to "commercial", i now use a stapler and 45 paperclips.

Yeah, I still think it's stupid it's a closed system. Oh well, that's where Cubase 4 comes in! =P

I hate Acid Pro, lol. I had it for a while but it's too....I don't know.

But the only software I use are Audacity, Fl Studio 8, and ezDrummer DFH

Fruity Loops Studio 7 equipped with the Nexus VST. :) I occasionally refer to Nueundo / Cubase / Sonar. Depends what's needed.
