Except when you've been injured and you decide to put yourself on an insane exercise program to get your fitness back really quickly. Then it feels more like bondage.

That sounds sexy.

Ya, the gym is just for fat people, people get toned, ripped and shredded from taking walks.

I'm ripped from running, but that's different than walking I'll admit.

However, I'm chilling on like 5% body fat baby! You wouldn't believe the muscles I can see.

But I bet you cannot even lift 5 pounds. Good luck trying to do anything with that body of yours. Having zero fat does not mean you are healthy. Having low fat, plus a good amount of muscle plus a good cardiovascular health is what you want.

Running = not good exercise. Weight lifting, swimming, and drinking LOTS of water are the only good ways to keep fit (sports are alright, but not necessary.)

A Pokémon Gym is a place where Pokémon Trainers go to train their Pokémon. Just like real life gymnasiums, where one can go to work out and build physical strength, Pokémon Gyms are places where Trainers can go to sharpen their battling skills and where their Pokémon can go to gain experience. Often specializing in a particular elemental type, Gyms create an environment which allows Trainers to test both their skills and Pokémon against those of others. The most powerful Trainer in a given Gym is called the Gym Leader, whom the lower-ranking members of a Gym look up to greatly.

Like what everyone else said, exercise "hurts" and tires your muscles, so the craves more rest so the body can be repaired to be tougher.

I've experienced this sometimes, but after lifting almost every other day, my body got so used to it that I didn't notice getting any better sleep, usually because I didn't get much sleep during the school year anyway.

Good guess. I understand that there's a stereotype with being a runner but it doesn't mean I'm a girly boy. I haven't been to the gym since last year so I can't really give you a max RM for anything.

Good luck trying to do anything with that body of yours.

Yeah, working in landscaping would have been difficult had I not been able to move the stones or sod as fast as the other guys. Good thing it wasn't.

You've practically described my body type. In fact, I never even implied that by having low body fat I was the picture of good health. Now that I think about it... I don't really know where you were going with this :S

I'll go inform Haile Gebrselassie for you because you obviously know much more about running than he does.

Depending on your definition of fitness, both weight lifting and swimming are great for fitness but to say they are the only good ways to keep fit is just stupid. The most fit person I've ever heard of (based on his VO2 Max) was a cyclist. Also, the amount of water you drink has no bearing on your fitness level and drinking LOTS or water is a great way to get hyponatremia which can kill you.

Hypothermia* also where the hell do you get off on saying drinking water isn't important?

Water is important for filling out your muscle cells to give your muscles a larger appearance. And if you don't drink enough, it can actually have a negative effect on your muscles. According to some research, dehydrating a muscle by as little as 3% can lead to a 12% decrease in strength.

I've never been to a gym; however, I have a bench and weights at my home, and I do indeed sleep better since using it.

Hypothermia is when your body temperature drops well below its normal temperature.
Hyponatremia is the dilution of blood salts as a result of over-hydration.
I also never said that drinking water isn't important, I said that it had no direct bearing on your fitness level which is true.

Water is important for filling out your muscle cells to give your muscles a larger appearance.

Maybe if you're trying to give the appearance that you're more ripped than you actually are.

And if you don't drink enough, it can actually have a negative effect on your muscles. According to some research, dehydrating a muscle by as little as 3% can lead to a 12% decrease in strength.

I'd be inclined to believe that the strength losses would actually be greater than that seeing as a 4% loss of body water can lead to as much as a 30% decline in athletic performance.

I guess I misinterpreted what you said, It sounded like you were downplaying the importance of water. Sorry to come off as know it all ass.

All The stuff that I said was right from menshealth.com I should have put it in quotes or something. The information about the strength loss was what they're research showed, but you have to remember there is a difference between strength and athletic performance. You could be the strongest guy in the world and still be a shitty athlete.

And as far as water maxing out your muscle size and making you look bigger than you are. What the heck is wrong with that haha? Who doesn't want to look bigger simply by drinking more water? I know I sure as hell do.

Thats cool. I figured you'd just misinterpreted what I said

The line about muscle's absorbing water to make them bigger was pretty much a giveaway to me that it was copypasta but I couldn't be bothered pointing it out. Thats also very true about the differences between strength and athletic performance. I mostly just used those stats on athletic performance cause I didn't have any on strength.

Water making your muscles look bigger is awesome. I just pointed out that sentence because it didn't really seem relevant to what we were talking about.
