There's already shitloads of NG quizzes available, but as long as you're gonna learn from it, go for it! It didn't stop me and I learnt about functions 'n' stuff in the process...

Anyways, interesting question - one I hadn't considered. I guess the advantage to more answers is that it reduces the chance of getting a question right without knowing the answer (thus appealing to agonistic players more). Conversely, wanderer-type players (on Chris Bateman's scale) might actually enjoy the aleatory element of a correct guess.

You need to decide whom you're aiming at here...

There's an added drawback to more answers, in that it adds (arguably) uninteresting complexity - folk are more likely to enjoy reading questions, choosing answers and seeing their results than reading a plethora of questions. (Although once you've read the correct answer, there's theoretically no reason to read any more.)

I suppose 2 is the bare minimum, with 3 answers necessary to appeal to anyone who doesn't enjoy strong aleatory elements.

3 or 4 seems sensible, depending upon the style of quiz and intended audience.

Really? I would have thought that 1 would have been sufficient! Thanks for pointing out the obvious..but other than that, it was a good answer...

I myself would go for 4, too many makes it tedious, too little makes it easy...also include at least one funny option at least every 2 or 3 questions...

Well, everything that I said seems fairly obvious, given a bit of thought. It just helps to remind ourselves of these things, so some needless options can be eliminated from consideration.

Another reason to go with a greater number, I suppose - with 3, a ridiculous choice would make the chance of success without knowing the answer 50% - and thinking about it, NGers are more likely to seek agon than alea.

I probably made the wrong choice with my own.
