I'm a Romanian, so I can answer most of your questions.

For one thing, Dracula has been Americanized to the point where he's two different people. Dracula DID NOT drink blood and he was called Vlad Dracoula. He practically shaped Romania the way it is, although it's still a pretty bad place to live. Our language is latin. That's the most I can come up with.
