When you play games do you personally prefer taking several weeks to beat the games and everytime you crack it in you only play for a short amount of time or do you play a game and beat it in two days, 3+ hours per sitting?

WHich do you prefer and do you prefer games THAT try to do the former or try to do the ladder?

GO.

I prefer the latter
when I get a new game I play the crap out of it, then once it's beaten it goes into the stack of games until I feel like doing it again... or playing online :P

I like taking my time, trying to discover every single unlockable/secret/funny thing.

I like Sonic in Brawl. He has pretty Final Smash.

Usually if it's a single player game that has an average play time, around 12 - 16 hours, I beat it within the span of a few days or a week.

It's not that I want to try and savior the game, I've just developed a short attention span playing single player games like that. I find God of War II to be incredibly fun, but after two or three hours I just have to stop.

This doesn't apply to all games though. I've had some pretty intense marathon sessions with Guitar Hero, and I can see myself playing Fable 2 and Fallout 3 for long periods of time, seeing as I did that with Fable and Oblivion. Also, for online games I can keep going for just as long and stay content.

I've been refurbished and reissued, prepackaged and precooked, decontaminated and deloused, but I still smell, sound, look and feel like shit.

eh, i like to keep the replay value, so spreading it out is pretty good for me, unless it's a particularly long game, or the achievements require a lot then i can play for hours

If the game is a fast paced, action game I usually play it for 2 - 4 hours per sittings till the game is finished.

If it's a game like GTA, SSB, mario party, etc it entirely depends....if i'm playing alone I may not be able to play for more than 15 minutes but if their is a couple friends playign with me we can play for 3 - 5 hours before getting bored with it.

If it is a sims game or anything like it I can play for up to at least five hours, I entirely lose all sense of time when I play those games and they take a while to get boring because their is always improvement that can be done to your character, realtionships, cities, chouse, etc.

In a game that is the opposite of the first type I listed I like to play them in hour sittings for several weeks.

Well, it depends. For example, I beat GTA IV in 2 or 3 days, but BioShock I'm still playing 15-30 minute sittings. Just depends on how much I like the game.

Pfffft.

I'm an achievement whore unfortunately So I insist on beating games. E.g. Gears of War took me forever to get the 1250 Gs but Seriously is finally mine.
