AOL teaching kids bad grammar

Right, so as we all know, most kids who are getting onto the internet are doing so, to be able to use instant messaging services such as MSN and AOL and any others you can think about.

Whats wrong with this you may ask?

Well, I am currently downloading AIM so I can chat to a few NG members, but what do I see at the bottom of the "thanks for downloading" page?

I have to agree with you, I see to many people prancing around saying "El Oh El" or "Ar Oh Ef El". Its very annoying.

I have out of my own decision to improve my spelling and grammar the best that I can to prove that IM bullshit does not impede grammar and spelling, it is 100% up the person themselves, it is like parents suing the tack company for their children swallowing tacks...

Yeah, I use AOL everyday, but only MSN occasionally. I use to use both of them everyday, but not anymore.

Oh boy. I got rid of that AOL lingo a long time ago. I still use it now and then, but very limited.

Well don't we all do this now and then? Most of us say Lol or lmao, etc.. Some of us say g2g when we are leaving a conversation or brb don't we? Newgrounds has gotten me away from this type of typing, but I still use this kind of stuff everyday on AOL even though it has gotten less and less. I do have to admit though that sometimes people say stuff on AOL that I have never seen before and I have no clue what it means. Then they are like OMG U DON'T NO WUT DIS MEANS? I kind of feel bad for those people.
