Yes, this has been done before, but it's also a big help for all us gamers out there seeking the most hardcore badass experience of all time.

you are all wrong. there is badassery amongst those charachters. but there is no doubt that the biggest badass in gaming history is ryu haiyabusa from ninja gaiden. for fucks sake man, he jumped out a a huge flying aircraft carrier thing (way in the sky man) on a fucking furturistic motorcycle after killing some dude who was dual wielding a falcon claw and an electrified sword. when he landed he fought an enourmous armidillo thign that was flaming.

this guy traveled into the underworld with a sword and some shuriken and killed 3 fiends of the dead, some crazy demon bitch and the the archfiend (the hardest boss battle) fuckin a man,

and i cant even explain it well. im serious ninja gaiden 2 is some of the most badass shit ive seen in i dont even know how long.

He was bad-ass in DMC1 and 3, but in 2 he didn't have any character development and in 4 he seemed to want to be a father to Nero. Not to mention the last cut scene where he says "Let's go babes!". I thought he was a tool in DMC 4, Capcom fucked up.

Nero (DMC4)

I wasn't fond of Nero either, reminded me of a whiny teen who needed his hand held.

Vergil is probably the most bad-ass in the series. He doesn't say much, and he wouldn't think twice about cutting Dante in half.

Other than that, so far I liked Shadow from FFIII.
