Bell Canada and TELUS (formerly owned by Verizon) employees officially confirm that by 2012 ISP's all over the globe will reduce Internet access to a TV-like subscription model, only offering access to a small standard amount of commercial sites and require extra fees for every other site you visit. These 'other' sites would then lose all their exposure and eventually shut down, resulting in what could be seen as the end of the Internet.

That can't be possible, the internet isn't suppose to be owned by a single corporation. You can't just charge people for going to certain sites. I'm sure this is fake

Well, supposedly every single ISP is agreeing to pull this off together so the public won't have any other option.
Though, now that I type that out, it smells like a load of malarky.

What's the point in putting google in the package if you won't be able to access most search engine results?

I've been hearing about this quite a bit over the last few years... there use to be a site called savetheinternet by tech TV where you go to make donations or something to combat it. I'll look for a link if it's still around. But who cares there will be better shit to do when you're bored by then anyway, especially since most of us will be of drinking age by then. So I'll be able to live without the internet
DISCLAIMER: I was not sober during the making of this post.
