Its funny how you say that people dislike Slipknot because "everyone" likes them now, when the truth is, the time to like Slipknot has come, and its passed. NOONE likes Slipknot anymore, its not "cool" to like them, as anyone who likes them gets made fun of or whatever. People think loads of people like them now, which is complete bollocks, Slipknot were a fad back in 2004-2005 when the subliminal verses came out, you see all these "posers" with Slipknot hoodies and stuff but i bet that half of them have only ever listened to Volume 3.
Right now the only people who truly like/love Slipknot are the people who have been listening to them for years, Slipknot arent "cool" to listen to, but i dont care, theyre one of my fave bands if not my fave. I love thier music and i dont give a shit who thinks any differently. You say only posers listen to Slipknot, when the truth is noone listens to them anymore. People listen to Bullet for my valentine and shit like that now. Ive been listening to Slipknot for years and ive noticed how the majority of the population move from band to band, during periods of whether its "cool" to listen to them, and once that period has passed, they move onto something else and the previous band is ridiculed and anyone who still likes them is labeled a fag. Bullet are the new thing where i live, with thier new album, which i personally think is a load of bollocks. I liked thier first album but i dont like thier new one.
On another note, music genres. WHY DOES IT MATTER. Its really pathetic seeing people argue over whether a band is: Death/Nu/Power/Heavy/Thrash Metal. Who really cares. if you like a band you like em, regardless of what genre of music they supposedly belong to. Its fucking stupid, the whole music community have turned into a bunch of fags, and i only respect someone who appriciates a band for thier music, not for thier "genre" or thier fans.
