Tankmen style scene in Avatar movie

Who just watched the comical scene in Avatar, Sozen's Comet where two guys are randomly talking about working on an airship, (they are talking because the entire ship is called to the lowest part of the ship because the protagonist call them there so they can all be trapped and dropped into the ocean. The protagonist gets everyone together by lying and randomly saying it is someone ''special'' birthday.) then a random third worker comes in and says '"Hey the Captain remembered by birthday!'' Then they are all dropped into the ocean, and killed.

This scene seemed very tankmen to me, anyone else catch it?

Not necessarily. I think Avatar would actually be a good show if they took out some of the bad jokes and tried not to make it so kid-friendly and whatnot.
