Need Help With A Wow Virus

Can somone help me with this virus I have on wow, I've been trying to use it for the past 4 days and it keeps crashing... I need some help to figure out how this happened and how to stop it.... Please post only if you'll help.

1st of all, Do you have an antivirus? and wich one?

If you don't have a virus scan then you can get a good one at www.avast.com and also if you don't have a spywear sweeper then I suggest getting this one.

No.... Spybot Search & Destroy is not a virus OR an antivirus program.... it's an anti-spyware program.

Lol. I didn't notice the replies after I recommended those two programs with my post. It kind of made me laugh actually. I know it is possible to get viruses from download.com, but not from the search and destroy program. I'm sure it's pretty safe to download that. Anyway, it's not a virus and it's not spywear. Sorry if you thought it was.

The chances of a virus infecting only one computer program is unlikely. Your game crashing is problem somewhere along the lines of Blizzard's error. Also if you have a ton of background applications running in your menu then your processor probably can't handle that much. If you're using Vista then there's a chance that World of Warcraft does not offer full support for Vista yet.

Oh, you are an idiot.

If that doesn't work, try HijackThis, but you'll need help on forums filled with people exprienced in using the program, since they can interpret the logs and tell you what and what not to delete.

Also, get a firewall. I recommend COMODO firewall pro (it's free)

You could use AVG Anti-Virus it works as anti-virus and anti-spyware, its pretty good imo.

Try lavasoft it's free! It did a pretty good job with the spyware and other stuff on my computer.

I'm pretty sure Smashwill was just scared by SS&D's name having a word like "Spybot" in it.

TBH, a "spybot" does sound like it could be a bad, bad spyware-installing program.

But the whole SEARCH & DESTROY part is supposed to illustrate that it's a freakin' Private Eye badass Tom Selleck mofo of a spyware nemesis. I guess he missed all the rest of the name because his fear kicked in so hardcore over the "spybot" part.

... though I haven't actually used it since Win98. Never felt the need to on my XP laptop or my Vista PC, both of which are McAfee'd to the hilt with multi-year subscriptions thanks to my gf's paranoia. WOOT.
