Growing underneath my kitchen counter.

Really odd how it worked out. I guess a potato fell out of a bag a while back and rolled to the back of the cabinet under my counter. Instead of rotting, this potato said "fuck you!" to the norm, and starting living off of the nutrients inside of itself to grow new potatoes.

No soil.
No sunlight.
Only the nutrients inside of itself.

The potato is all wrinkly and looks like a big chicken nugget. It still seems to have moisture inside, meaning that it was very conservative about it's energy. The root was still wet. Creepy shit. I decided to plant it, now I'll have my own potatoes! I love potatoes.

Here is a pick of said magic potato:

Sometimes you have to burn everything down , so you can have nothing at all.

Well the potato is just a starch reserve for the plant (basically storage of food), don't you notice how you usually get little green buds poking out of old potatoes.

That doesn't look right for some reason. . .what if like fungus in the kitchen cabinet merged with the potato plant or something? Whatever, still interesting.

Man that's awesome. Kind of looks like the stuff that was growing everywhere in the War of the Worlds movie. I've seen spuds in my fridge grow little nubbies but I've never seen anything like that.

Whatcha gonna do with it?

From this angle it looks like a bunch of oats and brown sugar pushed together. It's not a potato anymore, it's a monster.
I just got a great idea, do an eBay auction and see how much you can get for this mutant potato

I've had a few spuds in the past that have started sprouting. It's weird, it's like an alien or something.

There, I fixed it for you.

But, really, that's INCREDIBLY creepy. If I were you, I'd test it's DNA to see if it had some artificial intelligence syrum injected into it. It's a smart potatoe.

Did it work right?

That is creepy. I don't think anything that grows out of that will be safe to eat.

I'm going to attempt said act of eating in the form of mashed potatoes in about a month when it grows its first mutant babies.

I'll get someone on my MSN list to inform you all if I die.

It's been feeding off of the blood of children in your surrounding area, note the red tint of the roots.
