The game has added the subtitle "Zombie Sacrifice"
No more Otis missions. Instead between plot-points you take on side-quests before progressing.
The camera is better as it is now over the shoulder (like Resident Evil 4) but this also sacrifices the photo mode.
New enemies, weapons, and controls.
Though the game has been dumbed down, it actually sounds better. Otis constantly calling you was annoying and I didn't like taking pictures. I just wanted to kill zombies.
Here's hoping for a Free-Play mode that allows nothing but pure zombie carnage with no time limit or health depletion.

RE4-like camera?
Does that mean you can't walk while aiming?

In Dead Rising, you couldn't move while aiming.

Capcom is easily my favourite third-party developer for the Wii, they always seem to know how to do a Wii game the right way. Their ports of Resident Evil 4 and Okami were excelent, so I expect them to be able to do equally as good a job for Dead Rising. I still havn't played the game, so I'm very excited about this port.
Also, I hope they fix the AI problem, apparently the civilians in the game were very clumsy and stupid.

Anyways, back on track:

The one thing that I liked about Dead Rising was how everything happened in real time, and you had to decide what side-missions that you wanted to take, based on location, priorities, and current injuries. While getting frequent calls from Otis were annoying, but hey, one thing I liked is how you can't save every survivor.
The camera is better as it is now over the shoulder (like Resident Evil 4) but this also sacrifices the photo mode.
Kind of gets rid of the free movement. Now this is turning into Resident Evil: Willamette, Colorado.
New enemies, weapons, and controls.
As with all ports.

I already knew that Otis calling is annoying (I don't need reminders about clothing shops, jackass.) As for picture taking, it's mainly for experience points. Need a quick boost, take pictures of certain events and/or objects. I managed to level myself up during the final boss fight on the tank, which saved myself from dying.
Here's hoping for a Free-Play mode that allows nothing but pure zombie carnage with no time limit or health depletion.
Ugh. I don't know why they had to have limited resources in free mode. I wanted to go around slaughtering zombies.

Aww I'm disappointed that they cut out all those parts, but I'm still 99% positive I'm getting it anyways.
I mean come on beating a zombie to death with a manikin in motion control.

This all sounds good to me. I don't see how anybody would get upset unless they're angry that this newer version will be better than the one they played and they don't want to spend the cash getting it. Same case with how you might have the PS2 or Gamecube version of RE4 but wanted the Wii version.
I usually frequent the VG and collaboration Forums. If you find me anywhere else, I'm lost and can't find my way back.
