Suicide or drug addiction?

What would you prefer to do when life has gone to the dogs and you've got no way out?

Like, imagine a situation where shooting yourself seems like a good idea - why not consider heroin?

I think drug addiction is sometimes overlooked by people considering suicide. And I think for people who talk about drugs like they get you addicted, they're often overlooking how suicidal people felt prior to their addiction.

So when you're tunnelling towards rock bottom, what way will you go? What way would your family rather you went? What shit could happen to put you in this position?

I know for sure my parents would not like it, if I ended my life so early or take drugs. But if everybody I loved is gone and no where to turn to, I would choose drug addiction. I've always wondered what heroin would be like.

Drug addiction is the obvious way to go. It goes with out saying, it's lot safer than suicide but being a junkie is still not cool.

as of right now, i plan on shooting up heroin everyday once i reach an age too old to enjoy life anymore.

however, unless i'm just speaking out of my asshole, i'm pretty sure you can die just from the withdrawal of heroin? so, i would be sure to die of an overdose before that happens.. like make sure i have enough to last a few days, then when the supply gets low...

I don't think I'd consider drug addiction as an option. If my life was at such a point that I could find no way back, I'd throw myself off a nice tall building. That's always the way I've wanted it to be.
Maybe I could throw myself off a building whilst overdosing on heroin, just to add to the experience.

My uncle said that people really only get addicted, because they're looking for something else in life.

I can see how drugs and suicide would be paralleled.

But I for one, plan to shoot myself once I've outlived my usefulness.

I'd choose suicide honestly. Not because I'm some cry-myself-to-sleep-every-night kid, but because I had a friend who was addicted to heroin. He tried to quit, and ended up dying from the withdrawal. When he was trying to quit, he said it was a living hell. So, that's why I'd rather kill myself then try to live with drug addiction.

It really depends on what drug I would be addicted too, if t were weed then I would choose that. If it was anything else really I would choose suicide because pretty much everything else ravages your body and mind.

Well, drug addiction can be expensive (duh) and can cause even more problems for you in the long run. Of course, there's always the option of whoring yourself out to pay for the drugs, which I suppose isn't too bad an idea -- I mean, for a shitty life, at least your getting sex and drugs. If you actually had money you'd basically be living the rock star lifestyle.

I don't know man.....

I've come across several people in my life that were so fucked up from years of drug abuse that they were just a shell of the person they were.

They were trapped and felt utterly hopeless and I'm sure they would be better off dead.
