But for the rest, I don't know any gay people that do that, most gay people I know you can't even tell they are. Why would your sexual preference have to be visible and audible anyway?
Some gay men are simply effeminate and some gay women are simply masculine and they can't help it, really. But yeah, I know what you mean about people who are in your face about it.
Now, this makes me want to go on a rant about teenaged girls who consider being bisexual a fad and whore it out like it's an accomplishment. Your sexuality is private information that *gasp* not everyone cares about. No one except horny straight boys care whether you made out with a complete stranger at a party when you were blasted because you wanted to "explore". No one cares how much lesbian make-out scenes you watched on youtube last night.
This type of banter is acceptable only in your small circle of giggling girlfriends in between gossiping about boys and talking shit about other girls you're jealous of.
I mean, for Christ's sake, they go around raving and ranting about their sexuality without even checking to make sure that the people they're whining at don't mind. I mean, you can feel free to giggle and rave about all of your lesbian escapades as long as you're sure that the other person is okay with it, but don't just go around spreading this knowledge about like the it's the word of Jesus Christ himself.
It's not so much that this behavior makes me feel uncomfortable because I really could care less, it's just that they act like it's all some sort of fad and that your sexuality is something that you can feel free to choose freely. I mean, I all for gay pride and being proud of your sexuality and everything, but this is just ridiculous.
It's part of the reason why I've never liked to refer to myself as bisexual because people just look at me and think I'm merely part of this fad.
Also, they played "I kissed a girl" or whatever the fuck it's called at a dance that I went to and I refused to dance to it. Words cannot express the burning passion with which I hate that song.
This song makes it seem like it's okay to act like a tramp as long as the other person is the same sex. She's proud of the fact that she made out with a girl, of whom she didn't even know the name, while she had a boyfriend. I don't know about you, but I would be ashamed of that. That's one of those things that you do when you're drunk and think back thinking, "fuuuuck, I did that?"
My friend was raving about the song saying how "awesome" and "epic" it is.
