My dad treats me with an air of contempt all the time since I came out as bi. My mum is completely fine with it but she nonchalantly said (whilst trying to defuse the situation) "Well at least he's not gay" then prompting my dad to shout "WELL HE MIGHT AS WELL BE!". Things still aren't great between us but they're getting better.

Good for you though, it's great that they're ok with it.

As for my little brother, I at least hope he'd cut down on using "gay" as an insult. I've already complained to him about it a many times, and he tries to act nice,, but damned if doesn't keep slipping.

My mum thinks I'm confused but doesn't have a problem. Her telling me I'm confused does bother me a bit though because I don't understand how I could be confused when I'm as attracted to women as I am. And I'm still attracted to guys once in a while too, so I'm pretty sure I'm bi.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my family knows that I am also. My mom brings up on various occasions that it's okay for me to be gay, so that would make sense. Then my dad has ended up getting into an awkward conversation with me about being gay. Was pretty funny.

Oddly not where I live. I live in North carolina, and people are pretty cool with that stuff. I know some gay people and they don't really have a lot of problems. There's some gay/b/straight alliance thing at my school also, I might join it eventually.

I don't have any of my family on facebook either. In fact, I'm even deleting a few people that are associated/friends with my brother, because in the past he has used their account to look at mine, and asks stupid immature questions like who-is-the-girl-that-commented-on-my-sta tus or whatever. If i were ever to be in a relationship and post it on facebook, I would definitely eliminate ANYONE that can possibly be associated with my brother.

No one in my family actually uses facebook, to my knowledge. Some of my distant cousins might, but that's never come up. My sister uses twitter, but not facebook or myspace. My parents hardly use the internet for anything, not even email.

I do have to tell everyone from newgrounds that I add on facebook not to mention my ng username so that my real life friends don't find my account, but that's not as relevant. I have my "interested in" thing set to women.
