Normally I make very small flashes, so they don't normally have much trouble with converting to .swf. However, the one I have been working on recently is just over thirty seconds long and 2.48 MBs. Whenever I try to test movie or publish as an .swf flash freezes towards the end of loading. I don't think it is my system that is the problem, I have 1.24 gigs of ram, so that shouldn't be the problem. I've tryed save and compress, but that doesn't work either. So, any ideas?

2.48 seems quite big for 30 seconds, but anyway...

Try File>Export>Export Movie ...I'm not sure if it makes any difference, it shouldn't, but it might happen to work...sometimes computers have very random logic...

Flash does that. When exporting larger files, it will freeze up and then unfreeze itself if you just leave it.

Theory is wrong.

Its probably 80% your ram. Try closing any other unwanted programs, especially the Internet I'd any orhe adobe/macromedia products. Also it sometimes does that for some reason if you test it too much. Try saving it as a different filename and then export it again.

what helps somtimes, press clt alt delete on windows on go into processes, if you see a dumpreg, end it but it may clos the internet or flash so make sure you save before, its not harmful it is just a memory dump, or if you see iexplore and you dont want the internet end that process, dont end everything cos i tried and it starts removing the taskbar and shuts you pc down in the end, dont end SYSTEM stuff, just owner

Listen to what he sees. I've had it where it gets to the second last bar, and then it waits a good 15 minutes before actually finishing.

Just don't close it. Let it work itself out.
