The game does not try to make you do any exercise. It's main purpose is to get people aware of their health with the BMI scale that the game brings up much attention to. If you beleive any different, you need to pull your head out of your ass and either play it or read the words of Shigeru Miyamoto (guy who came up with the idea for this game) as he constantly is having to mention to Americans that it is a new innovative experience on the Wii, and for the new balance board to be used in some great 3rd parts games. Nintendo is already making deals with that.

It depends on what you're looking for. I played it a friend's house and I thought some of the minigames are actually pretty fun. However there are some things wrong with it that it can't fix. Short of making an amazing add on. For instance, if you're 13 and weigh a bit more than "normal" because you work out, it will say you're overweight. If you're looking for some quick fun and maybe a little (or a lot) of excercise, this game was made for you.
