It's the most amazing movie ever! It's about a bunch of assassin's in this secret society called "The Fraternity" and they go around killing people because fate said so. It's super action-packed and there's a lot of bullet-time and crazy stunts. People are constantly dying and it has a decent story to it.
Unfortunately, they didn't leave an opening for a sequel. I loved this movie and would definitely go see the second if they were to have one. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. I'm going to buy the DVD when it comes out.
What do you people think of the movie?

The movie's actually based off a comic book where Supervillians rule the world.
In 1986 the Supervillians united to kill all Superheroes. They then brainwashed the world into thniking Superheroes only existed in comic books. Wesley Gibson is still the main character and he's still got a shitty job and all that and his "dad" dies and he goes to inherit his stuff. Except he doesn't kill his dad in the book the way he does in the movie. In the book his dad asks him to kill him because he doesn't want to be killed by anyone else.
The movie's cool because Morgan Freeman is a hardass.

It was shit. The storyline was completely retarded. A secret society of assassins that kills people according to what a piece of fabric tells them ? How do this writers manage to survive each day intrigues me.
The acting was terrible, excluding the protagonist and Morgan freeman, they were pretty good actually. The soundtrack is cancer to my ears. The only thing I can say I liked, was the style and action direction. As far as I know, the producers hired the Russia director of Night Watch to film this, which gave the movie a really nice touch, graphics wise.
Acting: 5 (average from all the actors, Morgan Freeman and protagonist got a 9)
Special effects: 8 (nothing too new or special, but quite nice)
Storyline: 3
Directing: 7,5
Overall: 5,875
TL;DR - Kill this movie with fire.

The soundtrack was great! It fit perfectly with the movies emotional feelings. Also, the actors weren't a complete failure. Some might have been terrible, but at least they were able to do their job. I don't see you acting in a blockbuster movie.
As for the story goes, it might have been a bit cheesy, but it was based off of that book so what could they do. It was worth it to have so much action.

I don't like movies that have a single word as their title (it's just a small pet peeve) so I don't wanna see it, but I'm hearing a lot of good stuff about it... I'm really debating here.

The soundtrack was shit. Learn to look far beyond the sound into the quality and depth of music, rather than if the beat is fast enough to pump adrenaline into your brain. The sountrack in this movie was shallow and worthless, it was laughable. I wasn't expecting a full blown production, but at least give me something besides rap.
As for the story goes, it might have been a bit cheesy, but it was based off of that book so what could they do. It was worth it to have so much action.
A bit cheesy ? I was facepalming throughout the entire movie because of the storyline. Yes it was a fun ride, just like having sex with a prostitute... but just like in that case, you feel dirty and depressed afterwords.
Just kidding, having sex with prostitutes is awesome. Fun for the entire family, amirite ?

Phenomenal movie. It really seemed like a modern-day fairy tale (a la Brother's Grimm, of course). You have an average, easy to relate to guy with a common debilitating problem that turns out to be a super power which allows him to escape the dreariness of modern life. It really takes the spirit of the old tales and sets it in modern life. It's really rare to see something do that instead of just rehash an old story with modern themes.
Think you're pretty clever...
