This will be my NEW thread and I will start it with a rough sketch I just did. This is the sketch I will first focus on and I will post updates as I work on it. Good luck to me!
*UPDATE* so you know...this is not a reference and I'm freehanding, on my laptop, using a laser mouse, on my bed, whilst laying down. Haha sorry just wanted you to picture my situation. OOO thats a good idea for my next project... aaahhh! Ff_Oo_Cc_Uu_Ss! sry I get sidetracked so easy, back to what I'm here for...
Are you drawing that for a horror movie?

No, I am hoping after I work out the lines, I can bring her to life with shading. I am just trying to make the features look attractive and I'm still trying to figure out how to do the hair.

you should draw the shape of the hair, rather than little "hairs". than color in the shape and finally add a few lines to indicate that the hair is hair and not some kind of hat.

There is no age level for art. Everyone draws at their own pace. There are probably 30 year olds wishing they could draw like you.
Or me :P
Thank you for the advice on the hair UMREE, however on this one I would like to get it as realistic as possible.
And... Mike, I am almost 30 hahaha, just a few years away!
**UPDATE**
This has been quite an experience for me so far, I just keep on learning from my mistakes and trying to make this woman attractive in my own eyes. As you can tell I'm still a rookie but stay with me I should finish soon enough!

it will look like realistic hair, trust me, you just need shape first, than detail. just like drawing a face.

Oh ok sorry, I thought you were telling me a way for a cartoon-like person. Thank you
Her lips are bloody massive, have you been copying pete burns?

LOL I don't know who Pete Burns is but no. I haven't been looking at other pictures while doing this. I just keep adjusting it until it sparks in my eye. What can I say, I guess I like big mouths.

looks a bit better, i would decrease wrinkles and simplify the nose while still keeping it the same.

I would, erm, maybe make it less robot-like.
You said you were going for realistic?
Well, you might want to fix it to be less, Robot.
Maybe look at a photo of a person in that position and fix it from there.
Thanks for the advice guys; I would estimate that this is about half way done now. I understand what you're saying SaltShaker but I don't really want to look at a picture while making this. That way I know its all from my imagination and memory. I want it to be realistic yes, but I don't mind if you can tell its not human. Actually I want it to be MORE HUMAN THAN HUMAN! Woohooo MORE HU-MAN THAN HU-MAN MORE HU-MAN THAN HU-MAN!!! Awesome, ok I'll shut-up now.
make the eyes a bit lower, mouth a bit higher...but other than that, its pretty good. I like the magazine cut/paste style artwork with the eyes, eyebrows and mouth.
CORRECT ME IF I'M WRONG BUT ARE YOU ASKING FOR A CHALLEEEEEEENGE???!!?!?!?!
Thanks for the input everyone!
**UPDATE**
It is almost finished. Just a few minor adjustments and then I'll post a link for a high-res version. Have a great weekend!
Looking good. A lot better then the first post, that's for sure. The smile is still fucking creepy though.
But I like it.

yeah I see something in the smile that is still weird. I'll have to mess with it and see if I can make it look better. Thanks for the comment!
At the start of this thread, when i saw the face of the scare-crow like person, i was thinking to myself that this was going to be either something extremely creepy or something extremely retarded. Now i must say that you amazed me by actually pulling off something awesome, sure the smile is still a bit creepy but really, this picture turned out beautiful. Nice work on the hair and skin, very impressive.
10/10 from me so far

Move her eyes a little further apart. Make it so that you could put an eye the same size between them. also shrink her mouth some.
Freedom of Speech: Priceless, for everything else there's MasterCard
I'm tired of working on this, so this will be the final version. Its time to start something new. The comments, however, have helped me quite a bit, so I appreciate all of your help.
Here's another version of it that I like.

You like zombies?
Thats a bit...disturbing.
I ran. I ran until my muscles burned, and my veins pumped battery acid. Then I ran some more.
Just a word of advise: Teeth and the whites of eyes are almost never stark white. Try adding in an almost white pink to the eyes and an incredibly light shade of yellow or tan to the teeth.

Maybe you wanted to say "I shouldn't"?
Your post is somewhat contradictory...

unless shes wearing some freaky eyelash extensions, I should'nt be able to see each eyelash individually from this distance.
Here is a link to a high-res version, feel free to make any additional changes or add more detail and post it so I can see.
Here is the final one, same as the last but I changed the nose.
