I do it, but I have no idea why; im going to get wet anyway so why bother??

I think I use to do that, but only because I would burn myself waiting for the hot water to goddamn be hot already so I could judge how much to turn the cold water.

But for years now, I've always let it run out of the tap first to just the water, and have always been in the shower by time I switched it over.
