This may have been suggested already but how about a turret that sucks in an enemy and then shoots said enemy like a bullet.
This is a modification to a heat seeking missile, but would be really cool. There are two turrets (or one that just switches between functions). One shoots a gravity well at an enemy or patch of ground and the other shoots bullets that are attracted to the well. Or all bullets on the screen are attracted.
ok two seperate turrets is a very bad idea. But there's a problem w/ a turret that first shoots a target well or w/e, and then sends home-seeking missiles to the target.... It's no different than a regular home-seeking missile launcher. Besides, the well part, which is plain unnessecary.
As for the second recommendation: making all the nearby bullets to be attracted to it.
Well, it's interesting, but too powerful in my opinion. If placed near an ion cannon, which has like a 5 sec reload time (the largest reload time in the game), and whose bullet's speed is like 10 (very slow).
Basically, the ion cannon is supposed to mis %75 of the time. But when it hits... it has massive damage and splash obviously.
So to turn those bullets, which are supposed to miss %75 of the time. To have them hit %95 of the time (bullets automatically explode when they reach the turret's range limit, hence the -5%), is just too powerful.
But I like your way of thinking, sir. You are crazy, but not too crazy.

Already have a quadruple shotgun. But this isn't exactly like it, but there's no reason for me to include this turret. It's nothing special.

It's taken but you could implement a range of grenade launchers. Maybe 4 different, one with superior damage, one with good splash,range etc.
I thought about making a grenade launcher. But the one I had in mind isn't anything like what you describe. The one you're describing is no different than a missile launcher.
In a missile launcher, the missile explodes once it hits an enemy unit. The gernade launcher I wish to make is one that is thrown in the air (a shadow of the gernade will be visible to show this), therefore, even though it may seem like it hits other units, it will only explode once it reaches the ground. But I may implement the ideas of several gernade launchers as advancements.
"Chicken Cannon":
A special unlockable turret with low stats except from amazing power.
ion cannon? I think ion cannon sounds a lot cooler B)
