Filmmakers and future filmmakers unite.
Conversate with other filmmakers about your films, methods, the films of others, your plans in the industry, or other film related topics.

Not that good at organization, but here it goes.

---Guidelines---
1.Film related topics only
2.You know the deal with flaming
3.Its film as in motion picture (se definition below)
4.Ranks just seem useless in this club so there are none.
5.Dont be a jackass

---Definition of film---
1. Movies.
a. a strip of transparent material, usually cellulose triacetate, covered with a photographic emulsion and perforated along one or both edges, intended for the recording and reproduction of images.
b. a similar perforated strip covered with an iron oxide emulsion (magfilm), intended for the recording and reproduction of both images and sound.
c. motion picture.

2.Often, films,
a. motion pictures collectively.
b. the motion-picture industry, or its productions, operations, etc.
c. motion pictures, as a genre of art or entertainment: experimental film.

I used the search and saw a club like that>

I use to make movies all of the time. Primarily comedies, but I did have a couple other ones. One of my movies titled The Rawk won an award for best acting and best comedy in the Rod Sterling Movie Competition and it was played live on TV. I really haven't been too active in making movies since those, but I still am very interested in it.

Not really a filmmaker, but I do enjoy to make movies. I did this in April for an English project. It's not so much that I worked hard at it, or made my own script (because it's Shakespeare), it's just that I really enjoyed making it.

I'm the one wearing the gold blanket.

Sounds like a very solid club. I love making the concepts for films as well as directing, angles, shoots and moods and such. Unfortunatly my mind is alot bigger than my resources.

This is the first thing i made, terrible but what ever.

I know what you mean. As of now my camera is a canon elura (not sure of the exact model because its not by me right noe), and im using windows movie maker and a crack version on Vegas.
Luckily though, next year when i go to school for it, i will have a full arsenal of the most hightech digital film camras, and editing software.

This is the first thing i made, terrible but what ever.

It was actually really funny. What did you use to edit it together?

Actually THe editing was done by a freind of mine. The one who played The lawyer. I (the guy who killed people) was in charge of writing, and directing.

No link to it, but I will put it up on Youtube once I figure out how to put it on my computer the right way. I put it on and I can watch it, but when I try editing the movie (since it has 30 seconds of black screen in the beginning and in the end so they could edit it for TV) so back to what I was saying, every time I try to edit it or upload it onto youtube it says it's an audio file and theres no way for me to change it.

I jus started making movies a couple years ago. Im going to a trade school for Television, Video, and digital film production. Have any advice?

Not really. I just like editing stuff together.

I would love to read it. I don't know about writing a plot synopsis on it. I'm not much of a writer.

I seriously want to work in motion pictures but I don't want to fall into the whole "OMG imma be a famous director!!!" thing, how many people are aspiring to be directors anyway? How many really succeed?

Well... you gotta remember... you got all types of directing:

MOVIES
INDY MOVIES
TV
DOCUMENTARIES
ANIMATION
THEATRE
ETC.

It's a slim possibility, but if you knock on the right door at the right time, you can find success.

Here is another pretty small sample of the way I edit films. This really isn't a good example, but until I can put the other videos up on youtube then it's really all I have to show for. Honestly though my favorite part of film making is the editing part.
