Yeah get Number of the Beast first, but make sure you get Powerslave also after Number of the Beast. Number of the Beast is really good overall, but has a few tracks that are pretty lame. Powerslave is underrated and supreme. Aces High (the opener of Powerslave) is the bestest Maiden song.
eh.

Piece of Mind.
This album is just the best one, i don´t even have to think about it. It kicks off with the fast paced Where Eagles Dare, that mostly consists of an epic guitar solo. It contains such classics as The Trooper and Flight of Icarus, both of which are highly catchy, and any metal fan should like them. The album closes in with the epic, To tame a land, which starts with an athmospheric intro, and from there is pure orgasm.
Get it dude. It´s the perfect album. Once it opens up to you, you will not get sick of any of the songs.
It also happens to contain the most under-rated maiden track ever, Sun and Steel.

For some reason I knew this thread was gonna be about Iron Maiden before I opened it lol, kinda weird.
But I'd have to go with Number of the Beast or their first album. You can't really go wrong with this band.

Number of the Beast is Iron Maiden's most popular and critically aclaimed album, that's a good place to start. It has such hits as Run to The Hills, Hallowed be Thy Name, Number of the Beast, and more!

i think all would say Somewhere In Time is the best album(not my opinion) and if you ask Harris himself he would say thats the best song he wrote is Hallowed Be Thy Name wich is on The Number Of The Beast BUT if you ask me the best album is Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son all tracks are.....beautyful...and dont forget Piece Of Mind Dickinsons first album....
but be sure whatever you buy its gonna be one of the best albums
