OMG! hai tom, fust post!?

Nobody cares. With Tom making a new news post every day, I've noticed a huge influx of these posts.. you know, where you don't actually read what Tom has to say and just post "First post", but someone actually beat you to it, because they read even less, and now you're stuck in the second post and... BLARG! You all know what I'm getting at. Nobody cares that you got the first post, except you. You're just dying for attention, and that +1 postcount, do you really want everyone on NG to know that you're the attention craving whore that you really are? Perhaps.

Mods, including me, have been banning for these posts, and then delete the post (at least I do). Your attempt at getting attention has worked, you've now been flagged as a snot-nosed-punk to the moderators, congratulations! Looks like your +1 postcount has hindered you, as you now have three days of time-out... think of all the decent posts you could have made in that time!

While I'm at it, I might as well state something else frustrating. It's not really a bannable offense, but just rather annoying, posts that just say "Congrats to the winner" just to try to scoop up a spot on page one. I mean, it's nice to be excited and supportive of Tom's news posts, but try to say something that actually hints that you read what he put, ya know? kthx ;3

It gets annoying, people want the "first post" in important threads since they think its so momumental to have the first reply in the post. I don't care if they say first post, but if they were to EVER do that, they should at least add more to it that has something to do with the threard.

You sure do live up to your username, congrats. It's my fault for forgetting to put in my OP that a "first post" in this thread is not funny, and would be bannable. Even though I didn't put it, it still should be implied. But, I try to be a nice guy, and wouldn't ban them for what they have done... it was kinda predictable, and that's my fault I guess.

If you don't have anything to say, don't post... pretty simple. Just because Tom posts doesn't mean you HAVE to reply. People do too much these days just to snag a +1, and I'm just trying to heed warning and stop some people from being banned :/
