Today's $100 winner is Mr-Furball! We're giving away $100 per day from now until I leave for Comic-Con on July 20th. To participate in the raffle, all you need to do is vote on five submissions while logged in. Every day I run a raffle script based on activity from the previous day, and a winner is declared!
Regarding Comic-Con: I'll be at the Behemoth booth, promoting Castle Crashers. Jeff is working on what should be a spectacular Newgrounds poster that will also be on display at the booth! RubberNinja has been managing a list of who is showing up.
Daniel and John from Armor Games will be riding 150 miles on their bikes to raise money and awareness for multiple sclerosis, as part of the Bike MS event in Southern California. Check out Dan's post for more information on how you can sponsor them (and get an NG shirt if you donate $25 or more) or join their team and ride with them! All the money goes towards fighting MS.
Corky52 is a hardcore user and has made some helpful/interesting posts. Some of these include a list of NG clubs he is a part of and a Newgrounds Exercise Program. His latest post outlines some of the guides he has written, as well as his friends and goals here on NG. It was a fun read and kinda inspiring. :)
Speaking of friends, for a long time now we've had a completed front-end of a FRIENDS system for NG. It's been sitting on the backburner, awaiting prioritization for the more complicated back-end code. I've always had my fears that people would see it as a step towards NG becoming a bunch of MySpace vomit, but overall we all like the idea of being able to link up to eachother. Right now a user page can become a bit of a dead-end, but with a friends list, there could be more paths to branch off into. What does everyone else think? Does the idea disgust you, or do you agree that at the end of the day, it would be a welcome feature?
