MGS [2, was it?] came out on the XBOX so it's not entirely impossible.
Exclusives are silly anyway. Would should like a system based on its merits, not what games it has rights to.

Also, I'm happy that Sony is losing their exclusives. I don't believe there should even be exclusives.
It wasn't the first one I played, I had played X, X-2, and XII before VII

I remember Kojima saying something along the lines of "MGS has started on the Playstation, so we will finish it on the PS3." He has kept a very strict stance about it's exclusivity, so don't get your hopes up.

As far as I recall, that port sold like shit, was lacking features the PS2 version had, and the controls were awkward.
And has it happened since? Nope.

That's cool and all, but as a Xbox 360 owner, I would have loved to have seen other Sony titles on the Xbox 360, like Metal Gear Solid 4. Still, pretty cool that the 360 is actually going to get a pretty good RPG now instead of the mediocre ones it already has. There are very few good RPG's on the 360, just a bunch of shooters, really.

This just the way the industry is going. We're entering the stage now where there'll be no such thing as 3rd party exclusives and console purchases will be down the hardware and what 1st party titles you like the look of.
But really, anyone who gives more than a passing interest in 'exclusives' need to shut the fuck up and actually play their consoles instead of getting into some nerd-dick waving competition.

Umm Microsoft is getting a lot of third party exclusives and a ton of timed exclusives. Some of the biggest games of the rest of the year are either 360 exclusives or are timed such as Gears 2 and Rock Band 2.

Yeah, you dont have to get so pissed of just because i was trying to make a point.
Anyway, most people are calling Square Enix the "Judas of video gaming". I can see why. As soon as its announced for the 360 they also announce that it wont be on 360 in the Far East proving how trustworthy and loyal they are.
Its happening a lot now though, i mean Bioshock is coming to PS3. In the end its gonna be almost all multi-platform, which might actually be a good thing. Give awesome exclusive third party companies like Insomniac and Bungie more funding overall and more time and potential for making awesome games.

Before I was all like "I'm gonna get a PS3, since it has all the good RPGs".
Now Xbox has both Final Fantasy XIII and Star Ocean IV (which is exclusive, but I'm almost certain it will go to PS3 eventually).
The 360 actually has pleanty of (/planned) jRPGS:
Final Fantasy XIII
Lost Odyssey
Blue Dragon
Eternal Sonata
Star Ocean 4
Tales of Vesperia
Infinite Undiscovery
The Last Remnant
Cry On

Yeah, the problem is there are no good ones out yet. LO sucked. And BD sucked. and ES sucked.
Final Fantasy XIII
Star Ocean 4
Tales of Vesperia
Infinite Undiscovery
The Last Remnant
Cry On
And these are planned or I haven't played them, so...

It's not anything against Sony or PS3 owners, there's just a large market for them to reach on the 360. Put yourself into their shoes. You're spending years of time and tens of millions of dollars making Final Fantasy XIII and you want to get the biggest possible return on your investment. Would you make your fans who own a PS3 feel all warm and cuddly becuase the game is exclusive to them or do you make it available to the widest audience possible?
As for the 360 in Japan? I guess there's just no profit in releasing it for the twelve people there who own the system.

Good luck getting a series which is developed and published by Sony ported to the 360.

This is unexpected, and awesome. I should rent it (because c'mon, Square hasn't tried their best in a while.) Hopefully, it will surpass my expectations, and will make me cum 1000 times over.

Doesn't have to be exactly Kratos and the God of War franchise.
Just has to be something copy and pasted with different names and scenery.

You know what? I actually am not too angry, in fact, I have created a list of pros and cons:
Pros:
- EVERYBODY will be able to play FF13, being a inner FF fan, I find this makes me a happy person
- SE will probably make more of a profit than simply keeping it PS3 Exclusive.
Cons:
- PS3 suffers
- Microsoft fanboys will be like, "HA! We > You!"
- FF13 will probably go down in quality when it ships, no offense, but its due to making the game the same for X360 and PS3.
The only thing that could possibly counter this is if Gears 2 goes Multi also......
*sigh* one can hope.

It appears to me that a nice little spot is being picked out for the PS3 in the console graveyard. Only a matter of time...

I think the outcries of the PS3 version being limited by it being multiplatform are wrong. FFXIII is being developed on PC and PS3 currently and the 360 build hasn't even started development and won't until the PS3 version is ready and out in Japan. If the 360 can't handle something for some reason, the game will already be out in Japan so it'll be too late to dumb down the PS3 version to match. Really though, I think the 360 will probably be able to handle it, since they're using a multiplatform engine. It'll be on multiple discs, but it'll probably be about the same.

Somehow, I'm just waiting for some hardcore Sony fan to say how Microsoft is an extremely greedy company.
The good thing is that Crystal Tools (the engine FFXIII is running on) is also available for the 360, so it does not look like much will be lost in the 360 port.
Regardless, I'm still buying FFXIII for the PS3.

Would not be surprised if there is "Exclusive downloadable content" for the 360 version. But I can see where you are going with your purchase.

I just know the "Exclusive downloadable content" will be along the lines of extra weapons, side quests, and items. I already planned for FFXIII to be a PS3 purchase, and there isn't going to be much that will sway me to the 360 version.
