I know most of you will say i shouldnt post this on NG but i feel like i should share it with you guys, and another thing, to the people who say crap about this, i really dont care, because all it shows is that your a heartless little asshole.

But anywa, I found last night that my cat was just staying still and wasnt meowing or responsive at all, he was just looking at his waterbowl, i pet him and i could really feel his spine and he was just much colder than usual, along with that he just had a bunch mucus on his nose . So i sat with him awhile trying to find out whats up with him and he vomitted this wierd dark blood, i stayed with him for awhile that night and then gave him more water, a cat bed, and a blanket with a waterbottle underneath him to warm him up. So the next morning I could he threw up a lot but he actually moved around a bit, but later he was crappy again. I looked on the internet and it seems like he has pancreatitis, renal failure, heart problems or urinary blockage. He's an old cat so and it seems like right now he might not make it, and because of this i dont think it would make a difference if i took him to the vet. Right now i just want to make him as comfortable as possible.

That happened with my old cat once, if he dies you should buy a new one.

Take him to a vet. If you can't afford one, look for online vets or cat forums.

It looks like you are doing the best thing you possibly can for your cat. Take good care of the cat and make sure that the discomfort stays as low as possible. Too bad for the animal and you for what you to go through.

Being old doesn't mean you won't respond to medicine, bring him to the vet.

don't try to make him as comfortable as possible, your just hurting him more you idiot. you just want to make yourself feel better by saying that, but you can't keep him around just because your going to miss him. seriously, take him to a vet and have him put to sleep.

Hey, go to the vet and ask the guy what's wrong with your cat, he'll probably give you a prescription. All done.

Its strange. I feel as if this had been about lets say your grandpa being sick, I wouldn't have really cared that much.

But for some reason the fact that it is a cut little cat makes this story bring a tear to my eye.

Is that bad? Probably.

Anyway, all the best for your cat. Hopefully it he isn't in pain or anything.

well sorry. I guess It's time for your cat to go. my cats both had there kidneys fail when they got old. just try to keep them comfertable. I don't think it would be a bad idea to explain the symptoms to a vet. ( I think it might be more accurate than the internet.)

Your cat fifteen? the fucker's probably just dying. Take his ass to the vet, asap.

You may want to take your cat to the vet to get him examined (mainly for the final verdict) and then if its terminal put him to sleep. That's what I've done with my cats in the past and what I plan to do in the future.

Your cat is in a lot of pain right now and right now you need to think, do I want to let him die of a painful debilitating disease? Or do I want to let him die painlessly?

Cats can live to be about 20 or older depending on the breed.

14-15 is about the age for a cat to start developing problems

Vets now. It's the only chance you have of making him better, don't think you can cure him, and if the vet says that he needs to be put down then at least the cat won't be in pain anymore.

if your cat is just not feeling wierd and acting weak..it probally is just got a really rare disease that makes it over 40 times more terrible than it should be

well he was dropped off at the vet to get an autopsy then cremated..last night i was with him for awhile, and he meowed quietly and purred a bit, so i was happy that it seemed he was getting better. but the next morning he was just lying there in his blankets dead. All i hope is that he died comfortable and wasnt in pain..

Aw, I feel your pain. I had a cat too. His name was Taz, and he died the same way Lucky did; from old age. Poor ol' Taz. He was a good cat. Bummer he didn't live to be 18. He was so close, too.

Thats horrible dude. I would go to the vet and if need be, put him down. It sucks losing pets. Its like losing a part of the family.

I came back from my holiday last year to find one of my cats had been run over just after we left :(
