I was toying with the idea of getting an iPhone to see how I would like it, but in the end I decided to stay with my Nokia N95. The lack of a nice camera is the only thing really hurting the iPhone in my eyes.

I did goto an an AT&T store and ask if it would be possible to create a NEW account, then get the iPhone3G at the subsidized price then cancel my contract and pay the ETF which would still be cheaper than buying an official unlocked iPhone. And then I could use the pwnage tool and use my regular AT&T sim to try it out. Also get the programs i really would want on the iPhone like QIK.

So Tom what is swirling around you head for the iPhone? Game Dev? a mobile version of NG? Well you (vaguely) know me, i'd kill for some opportunity to work @ NG, so if an AS3 programmer
(fully understands OOP, Garbage Collection, Event Driven logic, pretty much all the ins and outs of Flash) could learn the Dev Syntax for iPhone lemmie know. (yeah, i know i didn't pm this ^_~)

same here... no camera phone.. weighs about 5 lbs... no custom ringtone.. its ugly, plastic but it makes calls.. it recieves calls .. good enough for me. I hate people being able to track me down anyway.

Also, there are a lot of flash type game in development for the Iphone. We should perhaps start working on a page for Iphone apps + games much like the PSP page.

Hells yeah! Cell phone should equal cell phone, not everything. Cause anyone knows that as soon as anything breaks down, you can live your live and deal with it. When everything breaks down, you're screwed. Besides, they don't have enough memory to do many things of use, I'll stick to the individual cell phone, digital camera, and mp3 player seperately thank you (besides, you should know the saying that a swiss army knife isn't exceptional in any aspect).

The iPhone seems like a very powerful and very versatile little machine that has a very bright future going for it. However, like most things Apple-related, it's expensive, obfuscatory, and bureaucratic. $600 is almost certainly far too much to pay for a machine that can do much less than my computer-- which cost a mere $700 for more powerful hardware, a bigger screen, and a distinct lack of a bigass apple slapped on it to show everyone that I'm Apple's bitch andf proud of it.

Well, tbh, there's no money going into NG Log, nor do I win any money with it. The only thing that goes into NG Log, is my efforts. For the moment, it's kind of stalling, but it still does the job pretty well. So for now, no changes, but I have plans for later. Waaay later, so be patient =]
