I am trying to watch HD trailers of Wall-E along with other HD stuff and my computer is lagging! or at least the HD movies are lagging. My computer (Mac mini) has 1 gig of ram and 10 gigs of space left. Is anyone experienced with this type of thing? How can I fix this lag?

That's not really much.

Are you trying to watch fullscreen or in a browser type thing?

Yeah, if it's saved to your computer there shouldn't be any problems.

PCs are widely used for 3d animation. macs are more 2d graphic design oriented.

Can you watch regular DVDs without any lag? Because there isn't all that much of a difference in bit rates between normal Doovdés and Hood Doovdés (sorry, had to do it). And if you can play something like a 3d game on it, then a HD DVD should be no problem. Maybe try re-installing graphics card drivers? Burning the movie onto a DVD then playing it from there?

Whatever your problem, best of luck fixing it.

Well, I can't even play any kind of DVD on it! Much less an HD DVD. I upgraded the ram but not the graphics card. Maybe I should upgrade the graphics card...

and thanks for the reply :)

Yes. Thats exactly the point I'm making.

I have a feeling that newgrounds has A LOT more PC users.
I think Macs a way better but that's just my opinion. It's better for my purposes at least.

Space has nothing to do with that. Its all a matter of processor, video card, and a HD monitor output and input. If you lagging then stop watching other HD's at the same stuff. That or the server is under heavy load?

Which is why Pixar uses all Macs, right?

Exactly. Each of them has their specific use.

So we can stop arguing now.

I don't think my computer is made to handle HD stuff. It probably has a sucky video card. it's a mac mini after all. The thing is about the size of a napkin length and width wise. and its about 2 inches hight.

You may need to buy some more virtual memory. Not a biggy, don't worry.

What is virtual memory? Is that like ram or something different?
