Voice Effects

Eh, I looked around all day for a forum for this. Must be blind.

I got my mic able to record my voice. It works, but I am only half satisfied.

What I want is the effect that makes my voice different. Something Robot like.
Something that sounds brilliant.

I use Fruity Loops 7.
Any advice?

Okay well my advice is that go open the the Fruity Vocoder Tutorial File and check that out and learn how to put you vocals into a vocoder and put a synth to it

i agree but take the time to slice it your self, and also take the time to make shure that the synth is right on key XD

Go into Audacity. Import Track. Create new Audio Track. Import same track.

Make it so that both tracks play at exactly the same time, and the sound of the same voice/noise playing twice in perfect unison gives a metal effect:

And yeah it will take time to slice and your useing fl 7 which doesnt have Slicex which is really niffty for slicing but im pretty sure you will be able to download it on to fl 7

does this count as something you're looking for? i still need to rerecord it and fix up the synth to make it clearer, but this is a vocoder effect in a song im starting to make for my school's homecoming ;D

I know A Great Program You have to Buy it but You cqan use a Free Trial On It It's Called MorphVox you can also download add ons for it al you need is a Mic

Fruity slicer works well... Works good enough for me 8D.

Also, the wave traveller is just as good if not better

Throw what you have into edison (if you have it, its one of the effects that you can pull up in the mixer), then add reverb, flanger, or chorus. All those make the sound more electronic, and with some adjustment I'm sure you can get what you're looking for. Delay can also be fun with vocals if you use it right :D

That's called phasing.
