...Toaster?
It gets me every time. When I'm least expecting it, it throws up the toast like it jumped out of nowhere to attack. And unless I've been waiting by the toaster for ages staring at it. I'm always looking away but it's still in view, so it just makes it all more startling as all you see in the coner of your eye is sudden movement.

My grandmother's toaster is fucked up. It doesnt even pop up and everytime I put toast in there I remember 10 minutes later but by then that shits burnt crispy.

When I make toast, I make it a point to keep my eyes right by the toaster so I can watch the toast pop up.
Gets me everytime.
