how old do you have to be to make a living making games?
Old enough to realize how good or bad you are at doing so, and understand if it will work out or not.

Hes asking how old do you have to be to make a living, not how old to make games. To make a living out of flash games I would say 16 but depends on your country's laws. Here in 16 you can get a full time job, therefore you can take up flash full time if you so wish.

that said, it's still really hard.

Well, yes. I'm talking theoretically here.
If your profile is right and you're 14 then I'd say you can make money with parental permission etc, if thats what you're asking. Earning a living and making money are two very different things.
well to make a living one would have to be on there own and not be eating dinner mommy and daddy pay for every night so you would have to make like 25000 a year for a teachers life.. but really i think it would be hard to make a living off of just making flash games due to the amount you have to make each month to pay the bills etc.
you would probably need madd experience in the field so im gonna say 27 years of age unless u were coding since before you could walk. but who knwos
To make flash games for a living, finding a job would be TOUGH. Making games and getting a few hundred dollars per isn't as hard, and still not a living. Being that I'm 13, I've made $200 with two games, it's not a living, but it's a start.
Some people make very good games and get $500+ per game, but spit them out at a rate of around once a week. Not many people do that, but if you manage that, you aren't doing bad.
