Look out for some of the sytmptoms of diabetes:
Frequent Urination
Increased Thirst (and thus more consumption of liquids)
and increased appetite.

The American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommends maintaining a healthy weight, getting at least 2½ hours of exercise per week (several brisk sustained walks appears sufficient), having a modest fat intake, and eating a good amount of fiber and whole grains.
Note the lack of any direction saying to eat less sugar.
Willing to make friends with Atheists, Buddhists, Communists, Islamics etc etc as long as they have reasonable morals. Jehovah's Witnesses and Scientologists excluded.
