The fun is more sylish and expensive but is available in two sizes wheras the bamboo is cheaper, more conservative and available in only one size.

From the description on the site, it looks like you'd have to be desperate to use the regular Bamboo for anything but writing. The Bamboo Fun is the better choice for artistry between the two.

I have a Bamboo, and I've used it so much I've worn down the paint where my index finger sits on the pen. Still, it's better than my last Acecad tablet. I lost the plastic nub for the pen so I replaced it with the end of a wooden skewer. I had to press down a bit harder but it still worked. I abuse my tools.

Actually I lie. I have a Bamboo Fun. I don't know how to stop the little circle at the top from glowing blue and I have to unplug it if I want to sleep at night.

The bamboo Fun has an eraser on its stylus, the normal Bamboo doesn't. Also the Fun comes bundled with some more software and comes in 2 sizes small and medium and more colours. Finally the fun medium size comes with a mouse. I just got my Bamboo Fun yesterday, beats the hell outta my old Trust tablet.

I have the bamboo, never been happier.
Only things I hate though are the buttons(shortcut buttons)
Cause I press them by accident all the time,.. (small table, so my keyboard is located north from my tablet. But besides that, its awesome, comes with neat software too, Art rage is awesome, I usually throw my PS files in it and redo them to get an art feel. awesome shit
