And finally, Disney Channel. Was crap, always will be.
Its because they cant think of a show that lasts more then one season.
This is all because of the "new audience" that's rising.
Kids are falling more and more into thinking stupid crap is funny and maturing slower then ever.
The reasons why Dexters Laboratory, Billy and Mandy, Spongebob (the old ones before season 4), Johnny Bravo, and other shows were so good is because they tried making it also appeal to adults, and in turn, made it funnier.
The hidden themes were what made it funny, but now the hidden themes are gone.
Good.
As much as I miss them as well, the next generation is going to say the EXACT SAME things as you are saying right now, but they will be saying, "OHH! Remember the classics? Like Spongebob and Jimmy Neutron!?"
Though I do think that the writing was a bit more creative in shows like "Hey Arnold" and "Dexter's Lab", the main reason we think they are better is because we grew up with them.
Honestly, if the exact same show, "Angry Beavers" came out this year, I would probably not even give it a chance and just call it stupid, even though I absolutely LOVE that show.
Oh, boy.
I actually remember when Discovery Kids was a GOOD channel, not full of teletubbies and barney and that stupid baby shit. I remember "Popular Kid Mechanics" (at least I think that's its name in english) and all the shows that were broadcasted back in the old good days
Invader Zim was the shit.
Smuff.
Atleast the 90's kids have memories to be "crushed" I don't really think you can say this though, we will always have our memories of these shows.. Just be glad, if you can remember shows such as Salute your Shorts.. Rocko, Are you afriad of the dark?, Double dare, What would you do? That one show with the fucking talking stone guy, whatever it may be- that you were very lucky to have grown up during such a great time.

Quaker.
Oh. Gooby.
Disney is taking over kids with freaking hannah montana and high school musical!
yeah, im 14 and I've watched the decline of all the Nickelodeon classics like, ren and stimpy, rocko's modern life, hey arnold, rugrats, ect. until they've been reduced to nothing due to all the parent activist's claiming that they were uneducational and inapproapraite sp? its all bullshit
Nick is awesome and new...

Rocko, are you afraid of the dark, and double dare rocked. I just with it passed double dare 2000.
The show ur thinking of is Temple of the hidden Treasures. Best Show Ever*i wanna be on*
See, back then, it was all good jokes and games and dreams. now, its just so G++Rated. Now its like regulare shows for the next gen are like Nick Jr while ours were shows everyone loved. even adults like Ren and Stimpy *since it has Adult relations in it*
Hey Arnold will always be my faverote. I just wish they continued after " The Journal " . There were plans to make a second movie but they didn't because the 1st didn't get enough funds. It was gonna be how Arnold finds his parents.
oh, the director gave out his name. its "shortman". because he said Grandpa always called him that since its his last name. Arnold Shortman.(DAMN there ends a good myster)
Don't be afraid of failure.
I'm majorly pissed because Cartoon Network created Fried Dynamite (basically 8 year olds with fart jokes who shouldn't be allowed near a live camera), and then they made Har Har Tharsdays and ruined Cartoon Cartoon Fridays. It's not all bad though, there is some hope. Chowder and Flapjack are two awesome new shows.
