yeah this is VERY fucked up. people have to relearn the difference between a good movie that deserves a top spot, and a funny movie that... doesnt...

I blame the time they spent on the frontpage tho, if art in the playground and crow's life had been more than a couple of days in the frontpage, and brawl taunts less than... months, then it would had been a different story... or so I'd like to think...

Yeah, i'm not exactly impressed either. The discrepancy on what was front paged and for how long seems like a big factor, and bonus points to those who create some really entertaining, original content. I'm personally disappointed in Awesome Gaiden... It was nice, but isn't near "top of the portal" as it is now.

Some of it its true, as always, theres always truth depending on the point of view, and i agree when you say: "more time in the front page, more chance to win monthly" but still, we dont have to pay or sign anything to submit, theres not any regulation entity for the rules, the money is just because Tom is rich, :D, and he (or the staff, whatever) they WANT to give prizes to some animations to atract artists (i think), but is NOT a "MUST" for them to give prizes... so, every flash artist should know that this is not a film festival where "original" content will be recognized... it could be, with more rules and that kind of stuff, but right now it is not like that... and probably wont be for a while, but is not like it should be that way, its just free entertainment... and the money is just, like they say, icing the cake...
