Well if a media group does have the money and know-how to pull it off, it would be News Corp.

I mean the company could afford Myspace and maintain a profit of $28.655 Billion, so to be honest I think NG would cost them pocket change.

But if it went into the hands of Rupert Murdoch I would be GONE.

I don't see him doing it either. I'm sure they can't really put a price on the experience he has had with Newgrounds for the past years. Plus, If he did, he would eventually be forgotten and lose all his fame.

Tom wouldn't ever sell this place, he's spent too much time working on it to just give it away.

As much as it would suck... I do not think it will happen any time soon. Though think about it a company with that much money would be able to create their own flash portal, one even better, and more advanced than Newgrounds. There large cash would also buy ad space, and eventually choke Newgrounds out of its own territory.

Perhaps if they do ever buy NG I guess some of us will call it progress or a tragedy. Though if Tom is as great a independent leader as we all asume than Newgrounds will always remain awesome under control from someone like him.

Tom has too much of a community and hard work put in to sell newgrounds.

There's more to websites than just market value. If Newgrounds were to be bought it would lose the independant charm that bring so many here in the first place. In short, it would become a corperate moneymaking machine, used solely for that reason.

NG would die in about..5 days after they buy it, if that would ever happen.

news corp is the same people who bought myspace and made it what it is.
If they buy NG i would never get on here aga9in
